Cherokee County, Texas Warrant Search

Warrants in Texas may be accessible to the general public under specific conditions. Under the Texas Public Information Act, law enforcement agencies may withhold unexecuted arrest warrants while an investigation is ongoing or until the warrant has been used for its original purpose. Thereafter, it becomes a public record just like any standard court record.

Under certain circumstances, the Sheriff's Office or another policing agency may elect to disclose active warrant lists or fugitive bulletins when advantageous for public safety or suspect apprehension.
